The hexagonal plan configuration of this Duchess County, NY house not only allows for sweeping 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape, but also an internal courtyard surrounding a single locust tree. A tent-like canopy provides respite from the sun, allowing the courtyard to serve as an additional room during the summer. Rough stone exterior walls and natural wood beams are interrupted by large expanses of glass.
