East Hampton Residence & Landscape

The primary purpose of the restoration of this old grand manor house in East Hampton was to return it to its long lost scale and elegance. This was achieved by removing uncharacteristic additions completed by previous owners and giving the sad, mortar-grey exterior a fresh coat of an age-old lime-based stucco recipe in a bright ochre hue. Extensive landscaping renewed the house's relationship with nature with the addition of a new courtyard, reflecting pool and a swimming pool with a canopied area which is supported by an existing arcaded "ruin."
